東京新聞の朝刊に、福島在住の僧侶、玄侑宗久さんの記事がありました。
そこに、彼の檀家さんから農地にヒマワリと菜種を植えようという提案があったことが記載されていました。チェルノブイリやスリーマイル島の原発事故で、これらの植物には放射性物質を吸収する能力があるという実験データがあるのだそうです。
花を植えるということは、震災で亡くなられた人々への弔いにもなり、とても尊い行為に感じられます。この提案が実現することを願っています。
